  1. If you want to encourage more last minute entrants I suggest you offer alternate prizes of less value if the total entrants is less than 20. For example vouchers to spend online, game packages etc.

    • Hi Mike,

I really think two Tickets to Essen should be enough! This giveaway has been running for over three months. We have had more enough people spend the amount necessary, unfortunately they have not seen fit to enter this fantastic opportunity.
Games Paradise Online gives away over $200.00 a week in goods, this will increase as more people get involved. Perhaps you could rally your friends to encourage more “interaction”.

It is always good to get feedback Mike, so next time you purchase with us, we’ll give you 10% off. Just reference this blog in the notes of your order.

  2. Thanks Harshy for the discount, I might have to go make use of that right now 😉

The prize is great but my thinking is that because there is only 8 entrants and there is no prize until it gets to 20 it could be giving people a reason not to bother entering or to spend more to get an entry. A minor prize that goes off regardless could possibly help this.

    Cheers, Mike.

    • We had already arranged for those that had taken the time to enter to receive something on the draw date, as we have already arranged the live webcast. Taken on board, next time we’ll offer some sort of giveaway for those who took the time to enter.

  3. Well its been well publicised on the blog here and the shop site links to here so presumably shoppers are aware of it? I dunno, maybe some flyers inserted into peoples orders might have made people more aware of it?
I also had troubles sending my entry via my yahoo email account so maybe some technical gremlins stopped a few people entering?

Personally I think it’s a fantastic prize and definitely provided an incentive to shop with GP.

  4. I’ll be gutted if enough entries aren’t recieved.

I hope something similar is tried again.

  5. heya, I sent an email to competitions@gamesparadise.com.au yesterday with my order number but i don’t see my initials or haven’t heard anything so I’m just checking you got it?

  6. That’s odd. I also don’t see my initials. Sounds likes some entries seem to have gone astray. 🙁

  7. Hi there,

I sent an email on the 6th of April which I still have with the appropriate order numbers. Would you like me to forward the email again ?

  8. Yeah, I was very tempted to join in and buy $200 worth of goodies for a shot at this amazing prize, but when I saw the ’20 entrants’ minimum requirement and that only a handful of people had qualified, I guessed that it would be cancelled and decided to save my money.

  9. I sent the details in an email to the address described above (competitions@gamesparadise.com.au). Which I’ll forward to this address once more.

  10. “We had already arranged for those that had taken the time to enter to receive something on the draw date, as we have already arranged the live webcast.”

What happened with this, did something get drawn because I don’t think I have been notified by email of anything happening or being given?

    Cheers, Mike.

  11. Hi Mike,
As the quota of entrants was not reached the competition was withdrawn, per the T&C’s. We are currently organising pack for those that took the time to enter competition. This was also announced on Facebook and Twitter.

  12. Nevermind my last comment, I just noticed the bit in in big blue text above where it explains something is being sent out in the mail…ooops soz 😀

  13. Hey guys has anyone else who put an entry in for this received anything in the mail? The announcement was apparently 3 weeks ago and I haven’t received anything…

  14. Hi Mike G,

Patience please, we are just dealing with a huge sale, and are getting these orders out, Once we satisfy these customers we will send out the prize packs,

These prize packs were not part of the competition, and we are just providing these as goodwill, a little patience would be appreciated.

  15. Good to know it didn’t get lost in the mail!

Thanks for the update fb570411344(!?) and the prompt Mike G 🙂

  16. 4 months later and still haven’t received anything from GP for this promotion, did anyone else?

    Mike.
