    Shady Productions present:

    A John Carpenter production of:

“Snake Pliskin and Ladders on a Plane”

Starring kurt Russel Reprising his role as Snake Pliskin.

Critics say “An action adventure romp that chronicles one mans struggle against adversity and the ups and downs of Snake Pliskin (and ladders) on a plane ride to

    Redemption and Spiritual enlightenment”

“Russel is Outstanding as Pliskin, and he climbs ladders like a pro”

“The do not miss movie of the year, Elation, followed by tears!!”

  2. Mike Gardiner says:

    Hungry Hippos The Movie
The world is turned upside for four hungry hippo flat mates when one of them inexcusably forgets to include marbles in the groceries. It is not until late one Friday night during an attack of the munchies when the foursome discovers the shocking truth that there are only 20 marbles left in the cupboard. The night erupts with the stretching and snapping of hungry hippos heads and while these four were once the closest of friends they now battle each other for every last marble in this exciting but horrifying 90 minute chomp fest.

  3. Chris N. says:

I would like to see Aladdin’s Dragons made into a major motion picture as it sets the story back in Aladdin’s day, a time of magic, mystique, excitement and mayhem! The game involves treasure, magic and artifacts – it
    would make a great movie!

  4. I think the game Caylus would make quite a comedy. The only thing is you’d have to have Black Adder as the Bailiff and Baldric as the provost. Perhaps Gerard Depardieu would provide a philandering King Phillip!

  5. Andrew Betts says:

Risk. Nations battle for the world. Using every last resource they have to conquer every last place on the planet. Everyone has played the game and imagined what a war of this size might be like. How would it really unfold when the world is at stake.

  6. Shane White says:

    Fury of Dracula.
A dark and gothic story of three investigators tracking the elusive Count Dracula across late 19th century Europe – and not a bare chested teenage boy in sight!

  7. Daniel says:

The doom board game, I’m aware there is a doom movie, but to see the hero throw a grenade and have almost no idea of where it might land would be interesting. aim several meters away and have the grenade land behind him, that would be interesting

  8. Tommy Dean Linkous says:

Magic Realm. Why? Because it might finally make sense how to play!

  9. Vanessa Tierney says:

    Forbidden Bridge is an entertaining board game;
A game I played throughout my childhood, a popular it became!
    I’d like to see it made into a major motion picture for the big screen;
With treasure hunting, action and lots of adventure scenes!

    Ancient jewels guarded by an angry bridge idol;
To cross the bridge and steal the jewels, the explorers were suicidal…
    Retrieve three jewels without falling off the bridge and cross the river;
Loads of fun, anticipation and excitement to give you a spine shiver!

Forbidden Bridge would be a smash hit!
I hope Hollywood decides to consider it!

  10. Olivia says:

Risk – there would be everything for a movie! Drama, violence, politics!!

  11. Mark Lancaster says:

I’d love to Hungry Hungry Hippos done, preferably by Michael Bay

Think about it. Imagine some animated badass hippos that go around “Bad Boys” style and blow stuff up in an attempt to chase down little round balls.

  12. Will Endicott says:

    Talisman

It has lord of the rings feel with the inner region and with so many various characters the directors could pick and choose accordingly re what would be marketable.

  13. Kate Tomlinson says:

Carcassonne…it would be an awesome battle adventure between families, building and ripping each others worlds apart…losing farmers and castles…with all the expansion packs available now the possibilities are almost endless.

  14. Simone says:

Talisman. Action, adventure, magic, heroism, excitement, backstabbing and betrayal. Who will make it to the crown of command only to turn on his comrades… But mainly because I’m a fantasy slut and will watch anything with skimpily-clad women, dragons, fairies and magic!

  15. Matt Lindus says:

Tales of the Arabian Nights would make for some great movies, they just have to pick the right story for it

  16. Ella Schamburg says:

Talisman! I think it would have everything to keep audiences glued to their seat….adventure, betrayal, death, winning against all odds – and don’t forget TOADS!!!!

  17. Joanna Hodson says:

I want to see a movie version of Ticket To Ride. It would be an action flick starring Bruce Willis, Angelina Jolie, Samuel E Jackson and Rolph Harris. Bruce and Angelina are undercover FBI agents aboard a train leaving LA when it’s taken hostage by terrorists (lead by Samuel & Rolph) demanding they get a 10 point bonus for the most tickets completed. The head FBI negotiator Alan R Moon says “NO dice!!” to their demands and now it’s up to Bruce to stop the train before it makes it to NY and completes the terrorists ticket.

  18. Wade Gardiner says:

I want to see Risk made into a major motion picture because that way I could actually see a game of Risk finished in under 3 hours!

  19. vic etherington says:

I think the board game Tannhauser would make a great movie. It has evil bad guys, demonic Nazi soldiers. Coupled with the occult, mystic weapons, alien technology and old fashioned 1940’s good guys all bound up in a colourful “what if” alternative world.

Yes Tannhauser the movie would have something for every Sci-Fi buff.

The evil Herman Von Heizinger and his Obscura Korps battling John MacNeal and his GI Commandos in a never ending battle of horror and heroism.

Our hero’s mission, to save the world from destruction, and prevent the Obscura Korps opening a portal to Hell.

  20. David Jacobs says:

Settlers of Catan — mostly to see how the Office of Film and Literature Classification responds to the tagline “Got Wood for Sheep?”

  21. Ronald says:

Nothing beats a blockbuster that spells virus, bacteria, doom and a bunch of people out to save the world. That boardgame has to be Pandemic!

  22. Aaron Silvestro says:

Dungeon Lords; because Hollywood would love to take the side of the entrepreneurial “villain” struggling to run a business in his local community. Not the homicidal bullies with big swords and flowy hair who just want to tear it down. . .

  23. Nathan Roberts says:

He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence – Psalms 78:50.
Only a select band of specialists have any hope of thwarting the bioterrorist’s nefarious scheme of a world wide PANDEMIC!

  24. Peggy says:

    Torres.

A tale of loyalty and betrayal to the King and his castle.

Knights from all four corners battling it out for power and rewards from the King.

Who will be the final victor? Who will stand on top of the largest and tallest castle?

  25. Will McDade says:

Blood bowl, Gladiator meets organised sport meets weta studios.

  26. Shawn Simas says:

Easy, Galaxy Trucker. Firstly, the game is just hilarious (as is the rulebook!). Imagine watching the movie as the ship just gets torn to pieces. It has space combat, crazy aliens, space pirates, and even HAZARDOUS CARGO (scary stuff!) What more could you ask for?

  27. Joe S. says:

We are making DungeonQuest into a major motion picture! I say ‘we’ because I’m a major player in Hollywood. To brag a bit, I have Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jack Nicholson, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Tom Cruise already signed on! We’re modeling this movie like “Mars Attacks” and each star will take their turn in the dungeon to die horribly gruesome deaths. You want to see Sarah Jessica Parker explode as much as we do! If you’re wondering, the pornstar Kayden Kross will be the only survivor, mostly because I like her personality. Look for this movie Summer 2012.

  28. Osirus says:

No question: Android. It’s the first boardgame I’ve seen where the dramatic trailer is what sold me. And unlike some actual movies, it only gets better after the trailer. It’s got compelling characters with fascinating personal histories: Android suffering discrimination? Check. Disillusioned PI with drinking problem? Check. Bitter cop? Check. Punk bounty huntress? Check. And they all co-exist in a dark, futuristic world, populated by gangs, evil corporations, convoluted conspiracies, and murder. It’s film noir meets sci-fi, a Blade Runner for our time, and as soon as Hollywood wises up, I’ll be the first in line to buy tickets.

  29. Andrew says:

I would really love to see a game like Starcraft the board game (based on the video game) made into a movie. I love the board game, and it would be great to see all the cool action scenes between the factions. It would be an epic, like Starwars. A great plot, with lots of special effects and weapons and vehicles.

  30. Perry says:

Conspiracy to commit murder. Outright treachery. Savagery in its most primal. Only one shall be left standing. Only one shall keep the spoils of war… HEY THATS MY FISH!!!

  31. Evelyn Ireland says:

Charades- bring back an old school Charlie Chaplain silent film!

  32. Steve Smith says:

Mystery Express by Days of Wonder would be the make the perfect motion picture. If you read the description, “[passengers] board the famous Orient Express in Paris just as a murder occurs,” then you would never guess that it was referring to a BOARD GAME!

  33. Rick Underwood says:

Rune Wars! The story could follow a hero searching for dragon runes against a backdrop of total war in a fantasy setting! It could be an epic! Gotta be better than Clash of the Titans!

  34. Darren Ireland says:

There has been many a tale told of good vs evil. There has been many a hero rise from the unlikeliest commoner. But never before have so few conquered so much evil! Hero Quest is Conan the Destroyer meets Lord of the Rings in one spectacular extravaganza!

  35. Ben Boersma says:

Reef Encounter – Where Finding Nemo’s second cousin fights off Crown of Thorns starfish for a feed.
Fish vs fish – who’s the real ‘star’ now!
