This Weeks Winner is, Tristan Dawson. Congratulations.

Pandemic by Z-man games. It’s fantastic with any number of players to come together and save the world from the dreaded red, black, blue and yellow diseases! Add the expansion with the bioterrorist and updated roles etc, and you’ve got an excellent iphone winner I reckon.

Online gameplay plus ‘scenarios’ could be implemented. ‘Scenarios’ could be a list of game-altering rules to enhance/change gameplay – much like an expanded expansion. These scenarios would keep people coming back to the game for a long time.

Congratulations to this weeks winner Simon Holding

I love the Kosmos two player games (some of which are mentioned in UniversalHead’s article). They travel well and are superb. My top ten are:
1. Jambo
2. Odin’s Ravens
3. Flowerpower
4. The Reef
5. Blue Moon
6. Hellas
7. Lost Cities
8. Rosenkönig
9. Dracula
10. Hera and Zeus

All of them have great player interaction, a decent play time and are very different from one another. All of these work well as travel games.

In 100 words or less, If you could live out your days as any Cosplay character, which one would it be and why?

Winner Announced 21st July 2010

This weeks winner is Joel Downie

Living out my days? That’s an awful long time. That immediately removes any of the more popular Cosplay characters purely because maintaining the tight corsets, improbably coiffed hair and absurdly large weaponry would be too tiring. Which leaves something comfortable, preferably in tracksuit. So I would have to choose Norm, from the “Life. Be In It” ads in the 80s. Sure he had a bit of a beer guy and double chin, but at least thats not too much of a stretch for me.

Congratulations Aaron Hoffmeister

The year was 1996. Duke Nukem 3D was released as shareware and DVD’s were just launched in Japan – and I was a 13 year old basketball card collecting enthusiast.

I was allocated $20 a week pocket money. I was content bringing Vegemite sandwiches to school for lunch EVERY day just so I could catch the bus down to the shops on the weekend and buy 3 packets of basketball cards. I still remember the smell of the cards when opening that foil pack and the overwhelming excitement that I felt thinking I might get a 1:36 insert (or rarer!).
